In art we have the joy of being able to work with and investigate beauty. We are invited to be moved, to look and to turn our perceptions into new actions. Art has the potential to transform. It confronts us with our limitations and our freedom.

As a tutor for performance and life drawing, I grapple with areas of art, which are closely connected to the human body. The body and the senses give us the opportunity to perceive our environment, ourselves and to turn these perceptions into an artistic practice. In my teaching, I particularly value encouraging the students to discover and pursue their own interests, strategies and criteria. I do not give answers to the question of how 'one' should work. Rather, I try to make suggestions, in an attempt to contribute to each person's individual search.
