Textile or stamp printing inspired by plants with Rahel Suter-Portmann

The plants in the immediate vicinity of the Visual Art School (or plants/pictures/books brought along) are the inspiration for our artistic work. From this we develop our very own motifs/stamps, whose plant origins may or may not be visible.
We carve simple stamp motifs and use them to create our own greeting cards, design fabric bags or print on fabrics, which can then be made into objects. All of this on a small scale.
We work with pencil, oil paint and ink. We also carve our stamp motifs into erasers or vinyl sheets with the linocut tool - which is very easy thanks to the soft material. The fabrics are printed with acrylic paints, the cards with ink pad paint.
This workshop is suitable for experimenting beginners and experienced designers who want to develop and use their creativity - practical stamping tips included.
